An associate in the Labor & Employment Department, Emma Kindstedt leverages her experience as a former U.S. Air Force JAG Corps officer to deliver strategic counsel in high-stakes litigation matters. She has litigated extensively in military criminal courts and before the EEOC, MSPB, and FLRA, applying her multifaceted legal expertise to achieve optimal outcomes for her clients.
In her time as a JAG Officer, Emma developed extensive courtroom experience through bench and jury trials, as well as administrative hearings. As a military prosecutor, she secured convictions in numerous trials involving offenses ranging from drug-related charges to sexual crimes. As defense counsel, she negotiated numerous favorable plea deals and alternative outcomes. Her strength in appellate advocacy contributed to a client’s conviction being overturned by the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals. Emma applies the same disciplined and effective approach to her representation of clients in labor and employment matters.
Previously, Emma advised Colonels, Generals, and other senior leaders on civilian and military employment issues. She helped high-level leadership navigate workplace investigations into matters ranging from retaliation to sexual harassment, and she represented the Department of the Air Force in administrative hearings before the EEOC, MSPB, and FLRA. Clients benefit from Emma’s practical judgment, steady counsel, and focused, results-oriented approach to employment litigation.
